This foundation wall in Berea, KY, was bowing in towards the basement. In fact, the wall had bowed so much that a large two inch horizontal crack had formed in the middle of the wall. To stabilize the wall, we used our helical tieback system. Our tiebacks were screwed through the wall laterally into the soil surrounding the basement. This soil gave us the counteractive force needed to save the wall. After securing the tiebacks into the soil, we then latched on our wall anchors to evenly spread out the counteractive force across the wall. Lastly, we also waterproofed the wall with our subfloor drains and a sump pump, as the basement was known to leak.
