Before the intervention by The Basement Doctor team, the homeowner faced a concerning issue: the main beam in their crawl space was compromised due to sinking concrete columns, leading to a sagging problem that threatened the integrity of their home. As you can see in the 'before' photo, the significant sagging posed a serious concern. Fortunate for this Owingsville, KY homeowner, our solution was at hand. We installed our innovative SmartJack system, a reliable and durable fix to reinforce the weakened structure. We also replaced the main beam, as it was too far gone. This old crawl space had trash, fallen fiberglass, mold, pests, and wet spots scattered all around. The homeowner knew they wanted it encapsulated so they could protect their home, but they didn't know what company to look for. After doing some research, they looked at our reviews and decided they wanted us to come take a look at their crawl space. After sending one of our certified Inspectors out for a free consultation and to go over the specifics, the homeowner knew that we were the right company and hired us to encapsulate their crawl space. We waterproofed, encapsulated, installed a dehumidification system, sealed the vents, and removed all the debris. The result made the homeowners very happy with their choice. 

We lifted part of this patio slab so that rain water is graded away from the foundation of the home. In the far part of the patio in the pictures, (near the home) we injected our PolyLevel foam under the slab to slop the patio away from the home. We then sealed all the cracks and gaps with our NexusPro sealant, which is UV resistant. The sealant will help keep water away from the foundation of the home and inbetween the cracks.

This crawlspace was so wet and dirty that it had a pretty bad smell. Mold and other odors can cause headaches, nausea, and a lot of other health issues for the inhabitants who breathe it in. Our crawlspace encapsulation, highlighted by CleanSpace walls, is a perfect solution to block out mold and dirt. 

This crawl space was having trouble with moisture control. We fixed this problem by wrapping the crawl space in our CleanSpace lining, which is able to seal out moisture due to its inorganic composition. We also installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which is built for keeping large spaces completely dry. We also added some rim joist insulation and some vent covers. Moisture won't be a problem any longer for this crawl space.
