We repaired this concrete porch in Richmond, KY, by lifting it and stabilizing it with two different combined solutions. The porch slab was pretty thick, and the footing was pretty deep, so we needed to send our piering crew out to ensure we could lift the porch back up with our helical piers. We then sent out our PolyLevel crew to fill the voids the piers left underneath the slab with our foam solution. You may notice our PolyLevel crew was also able to level out the stairs leading up to the front porch. They also sealed the crack in the sidewalk and the joint between the brick siding and the porch slab using our NexusPro sealant. The easiest way to notice how much we lifted the porch by is to look at the gap between the two concrete steps just beneath the front door in both the before and after picture. The homeowner was very happy with the outcome, and can get back to relaxing on the front porch with their cat.
This homeowner had a crawl space with a thin plastic barrier covering the floor. The homeowner quickly realized that they were going to need more than that to keep their crawl space healthy, so they give us a call to install a sump pump system, a dehumidification system, an encapsulation system, an insulation system, and a sealed access door. Having just a thin layer of plastic on a crawl space floor isn't enough to stop moisture from rising into your crawl space, and its important to take all the necessary steps to guarantee a healthy crawl space.
This basement in Mount Vernon, KY, had a monolithic foundation, and water seeped in and left dark stains along the walls. We installed a two-stage waterproofing system using DryTrak against the wall to capture seepage and a perforated drain a couple feet in from the floor to handle groundwater. Both connect to a new SuperSump pump for reliable discharge. BrightWall panels finished the job by covering the stained walls and giving the basement a clean, bright look.
This two-stage system is designed specifically for monolithic foundations. If you have a monolithic foundation, and you want to see how it works, be sure to click on our DryTrak page to learn more about our baseboard drainage pipe that requires no excavation or explore a past case study here. We used Polylevel Injection to repair the driveway slab that had sunk.
This specific family was troubled by a persistently damp and leaky basement in their suburban home. Seeking a lasting solution, they contacted us and were introduced to our team, experts with a comprehensive plan. We recommended the Ultra Sump 4, a powerful sump pump system, along with the Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier to combat excess humidity. To tackle water seepage, a trench drain system was proposed under the door, while CleanSpace wall encapsulation would prevent moisture from permeating the basement walls. The family agreed, and with the project completed, their basement transformed into a dry and safe haven, where they could now create cherished family memories without the worry of water-related issues.
