This homeowner in Versailles, KY, called us after heavy rainfall caused their crawl space to flood. They wanted a permanent solution—not just a quick fix—so we introduced them to our encapsulation system. We explained that it doesn’t just stop flooding, but also blocks moisture entirely, creating a cleaner, healthier, and longer-lasting crawl space. They were all in.
In the after photo, you can see the main “organs” of our system at work:
SmartSump Pump with UltraSump Battery Backup – the “heart” of the system, collecting groundwater through its “veins” (our drainage channels) and pumping it safely out of the foundation. The UltraSump acts like a “pacemaker,” keeping the heart beating even during a power outage.
SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier – the “lungs,” automatically controlling humidity so the air stays clean and dry.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier – the “skin,” sealing out moisture, bugs, and dirt for complete protection.
SilverGlo Wall Insulation – the “fatty tissue,” locking in warmth during the winter and improving energy efficiency.
With all these components working together, this crawl space now has the full anatomy of a healthy, protected foundation.
The owner of this new home wanted their new crawl space properly prepared for the future. We installed our standard crawl space repair system consisting of a SmartSump sump pump hooked up to a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, CleanSpace lining, drainage matting, and EverLast crawl space door. The result is a crawl space that is properly prepared for the future and will surely last a long, long time.
This crawl space was open to the earth, and as well all know, was allowing moisture from the dirt to slowly deteriorate the newer crawl space. These customers made a good call by completing this project early on in the crawl space's life. The Clean Space moisture barrier and the Smart Jack posts will be keeping this crawl space new looking for a long long time.
If you are looking for a home renovation projection to have done, a crawl space encapsulation may be the perfect choice for you. If your current crawl space has high humidity, sagging floors, dirt and pests, or groundwater leaks, an encapsulation may be the best investment you could make for your home. In terms of getting your money back through prevented structural issues, lower energy bills, and better air quality in the home, you can't make a better investment for your home.
This wet crawl space was falling apart before we encapsulated it with all of our products in Georgetown, Kentucky. After we sealed the entire crawl space by surrounding it with our CleanSpace vapor barrier, the homeowners were very pleased with the result. Not only does the crawl space look great, but it is now functionally great and will protect this homes foundation.
