This home in Frenchburg, KY, was experiencing saggy floors above the crawl space. This was because the framing in their crawl space had started to rot from moisture damage. The concrete columns in the crawl space had settled as well, further causing the framing to warp. We replaced the main beam and sistered a large majority of the floor joists in the crawl space with new wood to ensure structural integrity. We then stabilized the main beam with our SmartJack crawl space posts to jack the framing back up to where it was before the sagging started. This process helped straightened out the floors above. This project displays what can happen to the framing in a crawl space if moisture is not contained.
In Pineville, a homeowner faced unpleasant musty smells due to excessive moisture in their crawl space. Notice in the before photo the visible signs of moisture seepage contributing to mold, mildew, and air quality issues. In the after photo, our expert team used the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system and SilverGlo wall insulation to effectively lock out moisture. CleanSpace brings unparalleled vapor protection with its sturdy, UV-resistant liner. Combined with the efficient R-11 insulating SilverGlo material, it ensures a dry, odor-free crawl space, optimizing comfort and air quality in the home. We repaired this crawl space by installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier, our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, our SmartSump sump pump, and our SilverGlo insulation wall panels. Now that this space is isolated from the wet ground and outside air, the homeowners can look forward to their healthier living environment. Gone are the days of breathing moldy air!
A homeowner in Morehead, Kentucky was having water problems in the crawl space area of the home. The insulation was beginning to fall down and the homeowner was concerned about eventually having foundation problems due to the water. We encapsulated the space to ensure the crawl space lives a healthy life.
This newer home had a crawl space that was pretty clean for not being encapsulated. The owners decided to keep the crawlspace nice and healthy by just encapsulating it with CleanSpace matting. This way, the wooden floor joists don't rot from slight humidity, and they can keep critters and insects out.
