Photo Album: Foundation Repair in Cynthiana, Kentucky

The left side of this home in Cynthiana, KY, was sinking at a pretty fast rate, so the homeowner gave us a call to give a free consultation. We confirmed that the house was actively sinking, and then devised a plan to stabilize it. Our plan consisted of a system of 11 helical piers wrapped around the front porch and left side of the home. Our helical piers are used to effectively transfer the weight of the home from problematic soil - to load bearing soil found deep in the ground. Their screw-like shape allows us to drill them long ranges without displacing the soil. We then attach the piers to brackets, and the brackets to the footing of the home. We then cover the system with soil backfill to keep the piers out of sight. The homeowner liked the plan, and commissioned us for the project. When it was all said and done, the homeowner was happy to know their home won't sink any more.
