Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Wet Basement Repair in Irvine, Kentucky
This stone foundation basement was in need of a major makeover job in order to keep the basement dry and increase the value of the home. We started by installing our WaterGuard subfloor drains around the perimeter of the basement and hooking them up to a TripleSafe sump pump that we installed in the lowest graded spot in the basement. We then covered the leaky, dirty, and musty stone walls by covering the walls with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. Our CleanSpace is a 20 mil liner that is super durable, and will help channel wall leaks down into the subfloor drainage system. CleanSpace is made of an antimicrobial material, and will help this basement stay fresh. BE sure to scroll through the photos to learn more!
WaterGuard Subfloor Drains
The WaterGuard drains are concealed underneath the basement floor, and slope down towards the sump pump.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
Here you can see our most secure sump pump system, the TripleSafe. The battery seen to the right of the pump on the floor is hooked up to one of the three pumps inside the liner. The battery will provide power if the power goes out.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier
The CleanSpace fits snug against the stone wall, and is tucked down into the subfloor drains.
Waterproofed Hatch
We also made sure to waterproof this hatch.
Before Photo
This is what the basement looked like before we waterproofed it. You can see why the customer wanted the stone walls covered with our CleanSpace vapor barrier.
