Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Wet Basement Repair in Williamsburg, Kentucky
This unfinished, block wall basement in Williamsburg, Kentucky, smelled musty and leaked often. This was a problem for the homeowners who had a home gym down there, and who one day wanted to finish their basement. We installed our WaterGuard subfloor drains around the perimeter of the basement, just above the footing of the foundation. By having our french drains sit on top of the footer, they are less prone to clog than other systems. We also covered the stained walls in the basement with our BrightWall paneling system, and we threw in a SuperSump sump pump. Be sure to scroll through the photos to learn more about the process!
SuperSump Sump Pump
We installed our sump pump in the lowest graded part of the basement.
Before the Project
This is what the basement looked like before we repaired it.
BrightWall Panels
Our BrightWall panels are tucked into the subfloor drains, allowing wall leaks to flow down into the subfloor drainage system.
WaterGuard Drains
The concealed drains under the fresh layer of concrete sit just above the footers of the home.
Fresh Basement
Now that the project is complete, the homeowners are free to install carpet!
