To start the project, we covered all the items in the basement with a plastic tarp and got to jackhammering the floor slab around the perimeter. This demo process allows us to make room for our subfloor drains and our sump pump. You may also notice the weeping holes we drilled through the blocks to invite outside water into the subfloor drainage system as well.

The battery backup will help provide power to one of the three pumps inside the liner should the power ever go out in the home. Off to the right of the sump pump is our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which will help improve the smell, freshness, and humidity of the basement air.
