Wet Basement Solution in Richmond, KY

This Richmond, KY, basement was very damp during our initial inspection. If you look closely at the before photo, you can see evidence of moisture transference through the block wall. The homeowner also noted that the basement would experience significant floor leaks during heavier rainfall. To address the issue, we installed our interior french drain system along the perimeter of the basement, directly beneath the floor. We then sealed the walls with our vapor barrier, making sure to tuck the bottom of the barrier into the subfloor drainage system to direct moisture where it belongs. Finally, we installed a sump pump and covered the drainage system with a fresh layer of concrete, leaving the basement protected from both wall and floor leaks.
