Photo Album: Crawl Space Repair Company in Danville, Kentucky
This customer in Danville, Kentucky, gave us a call because they had standing water in their crawl space, causing musty smells and mold growth. Upon the free inspection, our Inspector suggested that we waterproof and encapsulate the space to create a healthier environment for the homeowners. After we waterproofed the crawl space by installing our drainage tile around the perimeter of the crawl space, connecting the drainage to our TripleSafe sump pump, and staking our dimpled drainage matting across the floor, the space was ready for encapsulation. We started the encapsulation process by throwing our SilverGlo insulation panels along the walls of the crawl space. We then wrapped our CleanSpace vapor barrier over the drainage matting on the floor and up over the SilverGlo insulation panels on the wall. We finished the encapsulation by hooking up our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which will keep this sealed space dry as can be. Be sure to scroll through the photos to learn more!
TripleSafe Sump Pump
Because this crawl space receives lots of ground water, we recommended our TripleSafe sump pump, our most secure system. It comes with three pumps, including a battery backed one in case the power goes out.
SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier
This dehumidifier is completely automatic, and was designed to be the world's most efficient system. It empties all the moisture it collects to the sump pump, and comes with a humidity sensor so it isn't running constantly. You won't find a dehumidifier like this in a big box store.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier
Under the white vapor barrier is our dimpled drainage matting that allows water to channel underneath the vapor barrier. Along the walls is our SilverGlo insulation.
Musty Crawl Space
Standing water in a crawl space is a huge issue because it allows tons of moisture to seep through out the air.
Wet Crawl Space
You can see the reflection of the dangling fiberglass from the water puddle in the floor.
