Photo Album: Preparing this Lexington, Kentucky Basement for Finishing by Waterproofing and Insulating

This basement in Lexington, KY had a tendency to leak water every time it rained. It also had a tendency to get extremely cold in the winter. After the homeowners saved up some money, they gave us a call so we could come out and provide a free estimate to help them achieve their goal of finishing their basement. Our estimate contained both a waterproofing section and an insulation section. Our Basement to Beautiful wall panels were suggested to the homeowners because these panels are the perfect pre-finishing insulation choice for many reasons. For one, they provide a waterproof vapor barrier and combine with our drainage systems. Secondly, they are much better at insulating than other foam options. And lastly, they have steel studs and built-in electrical outlets, making installing wall panels over them super convenient! Basement to Beautiful Wall Panels

Here, you can see the steel studs on the panels. These studs differ from traditional studs because they leave two inches between them and the concrete wall. Other studs usually touch the walls, allowing for major heat transfer to occur. These panels were built to keep your basement and your house warm!
