This before and after highlights why traditional vented crawl spaces often fall short. Many homes are built with wall vents, a thin plastic sheet over the gravel, and fiberglass insulation between the joists—methods that meet code but don’t always address real moisture concerns. In most climates, vented crawl spaces allow humidity to build up, leading to musty air and long-term damage. By encapsulating the space, as shown here, we’re able to control moisture, improve air quality, and protect the home’s structure for years to come. The silver insulation panels along the walls also replace ceiling fiberglass, creating a cleaner, more efficient solution.

We repaired this concrete porch in Richmond, KY, by lifting it and stabilizing it with two different combined solutions. The porch slab was pretty thick, and the footing was pretty deep, so we needed to send our piering crew out to ensure we could lift the porch back up with our helical piers. We then sent out our PolyLevel crew to fill the voids the piers left underneath the slab with our foam solution. You may notice our PolyLevel crew was also able to level out the stairs leading up to the front porch. They also sealed the crack in the sidewalk and the joint between the brick siding and the porch slab using our NexusPro sealant. The easiest way to notice how much we lifted the porch by is to look at the gap between the two concrete steps just beneath the front door in both the before and after picture. The homeowner was very happy with the outcome, and can get back to relaxing on the front porch with their cat.

This porch was sinking away from the home, causing the porch to crack between the door and the porch slab. This can happen when the soil shifts from underneath the porch, as was the case here We raised the porch slab back to a normal level using our PolyLeveling foam. We then sealed the crack with NexusPro sealant, which will keep water and debris out of the crack.

The owners of this home in Richmond, KY, had built an addition to their home, and overtime, the additions foundation settled into the ground. Because the addition was on a seperate foundation from the main home, the settlement caused cracks to appear right where the two seperate foundations were connected. Home additions are prone to settling for the simple fact that they are usually built on separate foundations from the main home. This footing of this addition's foundation was also pretty shallow and too close to the frost-line, which can cause frost-heave to accelerate the sinking process. Whatever the reason, we stabilized the foundation by underpinning the footing with our helical pier system. We started by exposing the footing, then we drilled our piers straight down underneath it. We then attached the piers to the footing after we knew the piers had reached load-bearing strata for sure. At the end, we backfilled the trench with soil to conceal the system. This addition's foundation is now under warranty for the lifetime of the structure from settling.
This Richmond, KY homeowner reached out to us after noticing a persistent musty odor in their home and rising energy bills. Their crawl space, like many in the area, had a dirt floor and minimal protection from moisture, leaving the space damp and vulnerable to mold, wood rot, and poor indoor air quality.
Our inspection confirmed their concerns. The crawl space had high humidity levels, signs of water intrusion, and exposed insulation that was falling down.
To fix the problem for good, our team performed a full crawl space encapsulation. We installed a CleanSpace® vapor barrier across the floor and walls to permanently separate the crawl space from the earth. Underneath, drainage matting allows water to drain properly toward a new SuperSump® pump system, keeping the area dry even during heavy rains.
We also insulated the walls with SilverGlo® rigid foam panels, helping to make the home more energy-efficient year-round. Finally, to control humidity and prevent mold growth, we installed a SaniDry Sedona™ dehumidifier, designed specifically for crawl spaces.
Thanks to these improvements, this homeowner now has a clean, dry, healthy crawl space — and peace of mind knowing their home is protected from the ground up.
