This home was leaking water into the basement, which was frustrating for the owner. We were able to help by installing CleanSpace, WaterGuard and a TripleSafe sump pump. This interior perimeter waterproofing system will keep this basement dry and clean for a long, long time.

Crawl Spaces are susceptible to water leaks just like basements, and it's important to prevent them. We dug trenches around this crawl space's perimeter and installed perforated pipes in the trenches. We then backfilled the trenches with gravel, which will further help drain the water leaks. We then hooked the drains up to a SmartSump sump pump, which is a perfect size for this crawl space. No longer are there pools of water sitting in this crawl space!

The renovators for this newly purchased home knew that the epoxy sealant applied to the foundation walls was not going to help this basement stay dry. You see, epoxy sealants and other sealants of the same nature don't fix the root cause of basement leaking issues. The real problem is all the water pressure sitting on the outside of the foundation walls, and the best way to relieve that pressure is an interior perimeter waterproofing system. We installed our system equipped with subfloor drains, a sump pump, and a vapor barrier. This system invites the built up water through weeping holes near the bottom of the foundation, (as seen in the before photo) and discharges all the water far away from the base of the home. After the system was installed, the renovators were ready to finish the basement however they like.

Crawl spaces can provide useful storage space or even necessary access to a home's wiring or ductwork. Unfortunately, in Kentucky, most crawl spaces have dirt floors that are prone to moisture problems and fluctuating temperatures. This can contribute to mold and moisture issues, including wood rot, which can lead to compromised structural integrity.
The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky offers complete crawl space repair and preservation services, including crawl space encapsulation, crawl space waterproofing, and crawl space insulation. We install effective, proven durable dehumidifiers, air purifiers, vapor barriers, and crawl space jacks to improve structural stability. Improving the supports in your crawl space can also lift or prevent sagging floors in your home above the crawl space.

This subfloor garage in Berea, KY, was leaking heavily during rains. Specifically, this wall was the area of concern, as the grading around this side of the basement was not ideal. To waterproof the wall, we installed our subfloor drainage system and hooked up our SuperSump sump pump to invite water into the channel where the water gets dispelled far and away from the home. In the attached photos, you can see the steps we took to install the system. In the first photo, we demoed out the floor to make room for the channel and our sump pit. In the next photo, we fitted the trench and the pit with our WaterGuard subfloor drainage system and our SuperSump liner. In the last photo, we concealed the system with a layer of concrete and plumbed together the sump pump and the discharge line. Now when it rains, the homeowner doesn't have to worry about this side of the garage leaking.
