A homeowner in Monticello called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky to get an estimate on encapsulating the crawl space of their home.
We installed a CleanSpace Encapsulation System, CleanSpace Vent Covers, SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation, an EverLast Door, and a SaniDry Sedona.
CleanSpace Liner is a bright white plastic liner, similar to a pool liner, that is attached to the floor and walls of the crawl space. The CleanSpace provides a mold and vapor-proof barrier between the ground the home.
SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation is polystyrene foam insulation that is infused with graphite particles that are attached to the walls of the crawl space. The shiny graphite particles reflect heat back into the crawl space making the floors warmer in the winter and reducing heating costs.
CleanSpace Vent Covers were also installed over the existing vents to provide an airtight seal and an EverLast Door will provide easy access to the crawl space.
The SaniDry Sedona dries and filters the air. The SaniDry Sedona can remove up to 100 pints of water vapor from the air, and the "Duet" filter removes mold spores, dust mite droppings and other particulates from the air. The SaniDry will make the home environment healthier and more comfortable.
This Monticello, KY homeowner reached out to us with concerns about their pool area. Over time, several sections of the concrete pool deck had started to sink and shift, creating uneven surfaces and noticeable tripping hazards. Not only was this a safety issue, but it also took away from the look and functionality of their backyard space.
To correct the problem, our team used PolyLevel®, a high-density expanding foam that lifts and levels concrete with precision. We carefully injected the foam beneath the sunken slabs, which raised them back to their proper position. This process is quick, minimally invasive, and provides long-lasting results.
Once the pool deck was leveled, we sealed the cracks and joints using NexusPro®, a professional-grade joint sealant designed to withstand UV rays and extreme temperatures. This step helps prevent water from seeping beneath the concrete, reducing the risk of future settling.
The end result? A level, safer, and more attractive pool deck—just in time for summer. Another great example of how we help homeowners restore their concrete without the mess or expense of a full replacement.
This Monticello, KY home, built in the 1990s, had been in the same family since 2007. While the foundation was structurally sound—made from concrete block—the homeowner had ongoing concerns about water and moisture in the crawl space. The area was only about two feet tall with a dirt floor and exterior access, making it vulnerable to groundwater intrusion and humidity.
Our inspection revealed visible moisture, signs of past water intrusion, and high humidity levels that could lead to long-term problems like mold, odors, and wood rot.
To permanently fix the issues, we fully encapsulated the crawl space using our CleanSpace® vapor barrier, which seals off the area from ground moisture. Beneath the liner, we installed drainage matting to allow water to flow freely toward a newly installed SuperSump® pump system. To protect the system during power outages or winter backups, we included an IceGuard® discharge line adapter and a LawnScape™ outlet for discreet drainage away from the home.
We also insulated the crawl space walls with SilverGlo® rigid foam panels, helping the home stay more energy efficient year-round. Finally, we added a SaniDry Sedona™ dehumidifier, one of the most powerful and efficient systems on the market, to control humidity and keep the space permanently dry.
Now this homeowner has peace of mind knowing their crawl space is clean, dry, and protected for years to come.
