A homeowner in Stamping Ground, Kentucky was having problems with water seeping into the basement.  The house was built about 60 years ago, has a block and poured foundation and no sump pump had been installed.  The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky to find a solution to this problem.  The homeowner met with Billy, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that our patented WaterGuard Basment Waterproofing System, a Trench Drain and a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump Systems is installed to resolve these problems for the homeowner.  

WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing system is our patented, sub-floor piping system that is installed under the floor along the perimeter of the foundation walls.  The WaterGuard intercepts the water that seeps into the basement and drains it into the sump pump system.  A TrenchDrain also intercepts water from entering the basement.  The TrenchDrain has a grated top to allow water to flow in and also be pumped out of the basement.  The TrenchDrian is usually installed across doorways and hatches.

The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is used to pump the water out of the basement.  The SuperSump is a 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump.  It includes the WaterWatch Alarm, Airtight Lid with Airtight Floor Drain, CleanPump Stand and a SuperLiner.  The WaterWatch Alarm will sound if there is a pump or power failure alerting the homeowner to a problem with the system that needs to be resolved.  the Airtight Lid keeps objects from falling into the liner, keeps out odors and insects and helps to quiet the pump.  The Airtigt Floor Drain will alllow water from a plumbing leak to drain into the SuperLiner but the water cannot come back up into the basement.  The CleanPump stands lift the pump off the bottom of the liner and out of the sediment. The SuperLiner is a rugged, heavy-duty liner that houses the pump and will not cave in or crack and houses the pump.

Now that the homeowner has these systems installd, the basement will be dry and able to be used for storage or extra living space.
