We stabilized the foundation by installing a system of helical piers, which were underpinned underneath the foundation. These piers have a screw-like shape, which allow us to drill them deep into the earth without disturbing the soil. Once our pressure gauges read a certain PSI, we are able to confirm the piers have reached unmoveable dirt, allowing us to guarantee the foundation will never move again for as long as the structure lives. After we drilled the piers, we then attached them to brackets to latch them onto the footing of the home. After the brackets were connected, we then lifted the foundation back up using hydraulics to help close the gaps and cracks that appeared. After reaching a desirable level, we then covered the system by backfilling the hole with dirt.
