This homes crawl space was old and wet. The best way to wick out moisture was to encapsulate the walls and floor with CleanSpace matting and to install a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, as well as a SuperPump sump pump.

Mary, a homeowner in Harrodsburg, Kentucky was interested in having her crawl space encapsulated. There was plastic already down as a vapor barrier, the pink insulation was starting to fall. She called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky to get an estimate for this project.
She met with one of our Certified Inspectors who recommended our CleanSpace Encapsulation system. He also recommended having a SmartSump Pump System installed.
CleanSpace is a plastic liner, similar to a pool liner, that is attached to the floor and the walls of the crawlspace. It acts as a dirt and moisture barrier between the ground and the crawlspace area.
The SmartSump is a state-of-the-art pump specially made for crawlspaces. The liner and lid are made to form a tight seal around the CleanSpace liner. It also has a WaterWatch alarm and has a clean pump stand.
The photo shows what the crawlspace once looked like. Once the CleanSpace and SuperSump Pump System are installed, the homeowner will have a clean, dry crawl space.
A home in Salvisa, Kentucky, was cracking on the brick on the outside of the house. Over time, the home starts to settle due to changes in the soil surrounding the home. Settling can cause cracked walls, uneven floors, and even cause the foundation to sink. To resolve this problem, we installed a Helical Pier System. A Helical Pier is a steel pier that is mechanically screwed into the ground until it reaches bedrock or competent soil. A bracket is attached to the pier and the foundation footer. The Helical Pier System transfers the weight of the home through the pier and to the stable soil. The helical Pier system stabilizes the foundation of the house. This system is uniquely designed to potentially be able to raise your home back to level. The Helical Piers can be installed year-round. Call The Basement Doctor for more information on how a Helical Pier System and stabilize your foundation and protect your home's value.
A home in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, had a corner of the house where the slab foundation was sinking. We installed the PolyLevel Injection System to resolve this problem for the homeowner. An expandable PolyLevel Foam is injected through small holes in the slab. The foam fills the voids under the concrete and lifts the home back up to be level again.
