When concrete slabs settle, they often create more problem than just one. This home had some settling concrete that created gaps in their driveway, sidewalk, and front porch. Settling concrete is a problem for many people. Here are the problems the homeowners were experiencing with their sinking concrete:
1. The gaps were an eyesore.
2. The gaps could easily cause someone to trip.
3. The cracks made the concrete more vulnerable to rain penetration, thus decreasing the expected lifespan of the concrete.
In order to fix all these problems, we decided to inject our polyurethane foam under all the sunken slabs. This foam is clean, strong, and quick settling, which makes it a better alternative than mudjacking. We then sealed all the thinned out cracks with our concrete sealant, which will prevent water from getting between the cracks again. The result was a happy homeowner.

A homeowner in Danville reached out to us after noticing that their floors had started to sag in several areas. During our initial inspection, we used a laser level to project a line across the main beam, which clearly showed that the beam was dipping in multiple spots. The issue stemmed from settling support beneath the home — a common problem in older crawl spaces where moisture and soil movement gradually weaken the structure.
To restore the home’s stability, our crew installed four SmartJacks directly beneath the main beam to bring the floor system back to level. Each SmartJack installation followed a precise process designed to ensure long-term support. We began by digging a deep hole for each support, then filling the base with crushed limestone to create a solid, load-bearing foundation. The limestone was compacted thoroughly before we set the galvanized steel base plate in place.
Once the bases were secure, we assembled and positioned each SmartJack post, slowly tightening and adjusting them until the beam above reached the exact level needed. Our laser level confirmed the beam was now straight and evenly supported across all four jacks.
By the end of the project, the once-uneven floors inside the home felt solid and level again. The SmartJack system now provides a stable foundation beneath the main beam, preventing future sagging and ensuring lasting structural support for this Danville home.
This 26-year-old home in Danville, KY had a damp, musty crawl space with signs of water intrusion and mold growth. The space was only about 3 to 4 feet tall, making it difficult for the homeowner to access and monitor—but the musty odor was strong enough to seep into the living areas above.
To address the moisture and mold concerns, we installed a full CleanSpace encapsulation system with drainage matting across the floor to manage any groundwater. We insulated the crawl space walls with SilverGlo rigid foam panels to help regulate temperatures year-round, and we added a SaniDry dehumidifier to keep humidity levels in check permanently. The result: a clean, dry, mold-resistant crawl space that protects the entire home from the ground up.
