In Liberty, Kentucky, a homeowner reached out to us after dealing with persistent moisture and musty odors coming from their crawl space. The 2-foot-high space was filled with damp fiberglass insulation that was falling apart and doing little to control humidity.
Our crew got to work by removing all the old fiberglass and then encapsulating the crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal out ground moisture. We also installed SilverGlo insulation panels along the walls to improve energy efficiency, and added a SaniDry dehumidifier to keep humidity under control long term.
With these upgrades, the crawl space is now clean, dry, and protected—giving the homeowner peace of mind and improving the overall health of their home.
We waterproofed this crawl space for a customer in Dunnville, KY. We wrapped the perimeter of the crawl space floor with our perforated drainage pipes, and backfilled the drains with our gravel. We then installed our TripleSafe sump pump in the lowest graded part of the crawl space so that all the water will run to it, thanks to gravity. Our TripleSafe sump pump is our strongest model, thanks to the three pumps it contains. One of the three pumps is backed by a battery system, which will turn on in case the power goes out. You can see the battery sitting to the right of the model in the attached picture. All in all, the customer was very happy with the installation.
