Donna W. called The Basement Doctor to to update the access to get into her crawl space. At the time, the only cover on the crawl space consisted of a piece of hard plastic that could easilly let in water, insects and even animals into the crawlspace and needed our help.
Our inspector, Damon, recommended The Turtl crawl space access system. The Turtl is a crawl space access well made from rigid plastic, which will be very low maintenance and will not rust, rot or need to be painted and it also has a weatherproof, lockable door that will not only add security but added beauty to the outside of her home that will last for years to come!

This home in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky had a crawlspace that was growing mold because moisture was finding its way in. It was evident that the house should be properly insulated and waterproofed in order to stop moisture from ruining the fun. The first step was to clean the mold from the walls and ceiling by using Anabec cleaner. We then sprayed foam insulation in the ceiling and walls after the mold was cleaned. We then installed a Smart Sump, which will pump water that the Drainage Matting collects. We then placed down Silverglo on the walls and CleanSpace over the Drainage Matting. The Silverglo is a great insulator and prevents mold. The CleanSpace helps seperate the crawlspace from the earth completely. Next, we hooked up a discharge line that leads the pumped out water away from the home. Lastly, we covered the vent covers and placed a SaniDry to help wick away moisture for good. The home now saves money on energy, has a healthy foundation, does not contain mold, and is waterproofed. (Side note: Cleanspace encapuslation not pictured, it was installed over the drainage matting after the picture was taken.

Our team was asked to evaluate a property in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky with a sinking front stoop and uneven concrete walkway. The inspector determined that this was a result of years of erosion and water infiltration beneath the slabs and stoop.
Our team was able to correct these problems through a series of high-strength PolyLevel polyurethane foam injections beneath the slabs and stoop. These injections expanded as they dried - lifting the fixtures back to level and stabilizing them.
Robert, a homeowner in Lawrenceburg, has a house that was built in the 1970's and had a block foundation. He noticed that the foundation of his home was settling and cracking. He called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky for a solution to this problem.
An appointment was set with our Certified Inspector, Damon, to help him find a solution to this problem. Damon found that the foundation had started to settle and recommended that our Patented Helical Pier System is installed to stabilize the foundation.
Helical Piers are steel piers that are mechanically screwed into the soil to the appropriate depth. A steel foundation bracket is secured to the helical pier and attached to your foundation's footing stabilizing the foundation. The homeowner can now rest assured that the property value has been preserved and the foundation will not settle any further.
